The National Indian Youth Leadership Project

Dine' girls (Navajo) at NIYLP's summer camp on Mount Taylor in New Mexico

The National Indian Youth Leadership Project is the only organization in Indian country that holds the highest "model" status by SAMSHA (Substance Abuse and Mental Services Health Association) part of the National Institutes of Health.

Founder and Director, McClellan Hall has worked tirelessly for 30 years to create this program which is now in 23 states across the US, 10 provinces in Canada, and soon to be established on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

Please visit their website:  www.niylp.org

NIYLP is truly the best kept secret in Indian Country.  The youth who are fortunate enough to participate in their programs are happy, self-reliant, college-bound, and determined to create a life based on giving back to their communities.

BRAVO to Mac Hall and his wonderful staff at the National Indian Youth Leadership Project.  Taho!
